Il y a encore des gens sous des tentes. La reconstruction annonc\u00e9e sur tous les tons s\u2019est r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9e une illusion. De nouveaux bidonvilles ont vu le jour. Du nombre, la cit\u00e9 Canaan, o\u00f9 vivotent environ 200 000 \u00e2mes. Un  reporter de <strong>Port-au-Prince Post<\/strong> est all\u00e9 rencontrer les riverains. Le tableau qui en ressort est pour le moins sombre : les gens vivent au dos de l\u2019\u00c9tat, sans acc\u00e8s aux services sociaux de base, et continuent \u00e0 chasser les bayahondes et les cactus des collines pour construire, de fa\u00e7on anarchique, de nouvelles b\u00e2tisses. Interrog\u00e9 par <strong>Port-au-Prince Post<\/strong>, le sociologue Fritz Dorvilier parle d\u2019une \u00ab catastrophe \u00e9cologique et socio\u00e9conomique \u00bb. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:18px\">\u00c0 contre-courant de la tendance dominante consistant \u00e0 \u00e9grener le chapelet des sombres souvenirs li\u00e9s au sinistre, le professeur Fritz Dorvilier se veut plus ouvert sur l\u2019avenir en d\u00e9gageant des perspectives moins alarmistes. Pour lui, Canaan n\u2019est pas une fatalit\u00e9, bien qu\u2019il soit l\u2019expression la plus achev\u00e9e de l\u2019\u00e9chec de l\u2019\u00c9tat au cours de cette d\u00e9cennie en termes d\u2019incapacit\u00e9 d\u2019\u00e9laboration de politiques publiques portant, entre autres, sur l\u2019am\u00e9nagement du territoire. \u00ab Canaan n\u2019aurait pas d\u00fb exister. Ce ne devrait \u00eatre qu\u2019un lieu de transit [\u2026] \u00bb, a martel\u00e9 le socio-\u00e9conomiste, soulignant que Canaan est une menace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:18px\">Par ailleurs, quant \u00e0 l\u2019avenir de Canaan, Fritz Dorvilier s\u2019inscrit dans une posture pour le moins originale.
